During the stop-motion animation, my team member Chai Honghong and I constructed the story, and we finally decided to make a story about zongzi.
Inspiration: Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese festival in memory of our Qu Yuan. In this traditional festival, we will eat zongzi and race dragon boats. Of course, the north and south of China have very different ways of eating zongzi. As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, we overseas travelers will miss our loved ones very much, as well as the traditional food of the Dragon Boat Festival - zongzi. We decided to use different flavors of zongzi from the north and the south to start this stop motion, as the protagonist of the story.
Story introduction: The annual North-South zongzi war began! The first to appear is the northern representative red date zongzi, he took off his green zongzi leaves, for himself sprinkled with white sugar onto the stage. In the light of the stage, he was incredibly gorgeous. The next appearance is the south representative pork dumplings, he is different from the north of the white and tender, but the whole yellow, full of meat. A sweet and salty, what kind of sparks will collide!

Southern Zongzi in the stage (Scene 1) undress and diced meat
Southern Zongzi walk on stage (Scene 2), spotlight on the southern zongzi
North and South dumplings on the stage (North: white sugar million arrows, south: diced meteor hammer)
Suddenly scooped away by the spoon, the north and south dumplings showed a scary expression

After drawing the story, we started shooting. We prepared the zongzi in advance, and completed the setting and lighting.
After we finished shooting, we started to edit the video.
