Self-portrait- a visual depiction of oneself through the form of drawing/ painting/ sculpture/ design. It is a self-exploration that involves how the artist sees himself, how he is feeling and how he wants to be seen by others.

IDEA EXPLORATION & DESCRIPTION

First of all, before the self-portrait, I thought about what I want to do in the future, my family, my favorite things and my personality.

After that, I began to think about my favorite animal cat and my personality seems very similar, it takes a certain time to get familiar with people, but relatives. I came up with the cat element.

In the first work, I chose to use colors to represent my face, using the superposition of different colors.Different colors represent my colorful personality.

In the second work, I used a cat as my right face, while my left face was forced to think with my eyes. On the head all sorts of different size bubble is representing all sorts of different idea and worry.

In the end, I added colors and different things to the bubbles. Pink is the color of romance, while blue is the color of depression.

Feedback

In this assignment, the teacher thought my second work was more interesting and asked me to add more colors to it.

Reflection 

In this assignment, I think mind mapping is very useful. I had no idea when I first saw this topic. However, when doing mind mapping, I began to think a lot about my likes and dislikes, what I want and don't want, including some plans for my future. For a long time, I was in a very impetuous state, and this assignment gave me a good opportunity to examine what I did badly. In the process of creation, many other people's works also gave me a lot of inspiration, which also made me feel the importance of reference.
